Welcome to Bookabout! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Bookabout website and mobile application ("Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Termination of Service

  1. Account Termination:
    • Bookabout reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account, without prior notice, if you are found to have violated any of the Terms outlined herein, or if any unlawful activity is associated with your account.
    • Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately. It's your responsibility to backup any Content you wish to retain before such termination.
  2. Data Retention and Deletion:
    • Upon termination, Bookabout may retain your data for a period of 30 days within which you may request data retrieval by contacting support@bookabout.dk, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
    • After the retention period, Bookabout will delete all your data in accordance with our Data Deletion Policy.

Modification of Terms

  • Bookabout reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
  • Continued use of the Platform following the posting of the revised Terms indicates your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you should cease using the Platform immediately.

Dispute Resolution

  1. Contacting Bookabout:
    • In the event of a dispute, we encourage users to contact Bookabout at support@bookabout.dk in an attempt to resolve the issue informally.
  2. Arbitration:
    • If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be resolved through final and binding arbitration administered by a mutually agreed upon arbitration entity, under its rules, before one arbitrator.
    • The arbitration will be held in Denmark, in English, and the prevailing party will be entitled to recover its attorneys' fees and arbitration costs.
  3. Court Proceedings:
    • Any claims not subject to arbitration shall be litigated in a court of competent jurisdiction in Denmark.

Warranties and Disclaimers

  1. No Warranties:
    • The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  2. Service Interruptions:
    • Bookabout does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors. Users acknowledge that interruptions may occur and that Bookabout is not liable for any such interruptions or the loss of data or information therein.
  3. Content Accuracy:
    • Bookabout does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any Content provided on the Platform. Users agree to use such Content at their own risk.

Service Availability

  1. Uptime:
    • Bookabout strives to maintain a high level of service availability and aims for a 99.9% uptime. However, there may be occasions when the Platform is unavailable due to maintenance or unforeseen issues.
  2. Scheduled Maintenance:
    • Bookabout will endeavor to provide advance notice of any scheduled maintenance that may affect the availability of the Platform. Notices will be communicated via email or through notifications within the Platform.
  3. Unscheduled Downtime:
    • In the event of unscheduled downtime due to unforeseen circumstances, Bookabout will work diligently to restore service as quickly as possible and will provide updates to users via email or notifications within the Platform.

Data Security

  1. Security Measures:
    • Bookabout employs a variety of security measures to protect the integrity of our Platform and safeguard your information. This includes data encryption, firewalls, and secure socket layer (SSL) technology.
  2. Unauthorized Access:
    • While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur. We encourage users to take steps to protect their own personal information.
